Every Language Matters
Language Explorers is Mother Tongues’ award-winning language awareness initiative for primary and secondary schools. Language Explorers activities are designed to raise awareness of linguistic diversity in the classroom and in the community, and to promote an interest in language learning.
Mother Tongues offer primary and secondary schools a variety of engaging workshops, which allow pupils to get creative, to reflect on the languages used in their communities and to explore the linguistic landscape around them.
The Language Explorers Activity book is an essential resource for teachers who want to embrace a multilingual approach in their teaching.

Claudia is a speech and language therapist and German teacher. She loves children’s creativity and their interest in exploring the world. The astonished faces of teachers when they listen for the first time bilingual children talking in their mother tongues is beautiful. To observe the growing interest of children in the world’s languages during the Language Explorers workshops makes this project a real plus for me.
Aga studied languages and communication in Poland and Germany before moving to Ireland, where she works as a Polish teacher at supplementary schools and runs a blog on maintenance of the Polish language in the context of migration.
She believes that language is the key to people’s minds and hearts.
